We love our volunteers!
Regular Volunteers
Regular volunteers participate more than 16 hours per month or 32 hours per year. All adult leaders and committee members are regular volunteers.
** Only regular volunteers are able to assist with the monitoring or care of any of Scouts or Cub Scouts. Adult leaders and committee members MUST be regular volunteers. **
Note: The importance of regular volunteers is that all BSA events must be supervised and accompanied by AT LEAST 2 regular volunteers.
Regular volunteers must:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Complete the unit's BSA application process.
- Complete the CA state-mandated Volunteer Mandated Reporter Training (aka "AB 506").
- Complete the Live Scan background check, which includes fingerprinting. This step is part of the AB-506 Compliance. You can register for your background check at Boy Scouts of America’s AB-506 Compliance Portal; choose our council "San Diego-Imperial" of San Diego, CA. There is a fee of $41.00 for this service.
- Complete SDIC's Background Check Consent Form.
- For adult leadership and committee members ONLY: Refer to BSA's Position-Trained-Requirements for further training.
Copies of all application documents, certificates of completion, & receipts should be submitted to the unit adult leadership. These may be handed in or sent as attachments by e-mail to scout105alpine@gmail.com.
Please do not forget to state which unit position you are volunteering for.

Volunteers

** Volunteers assist with administrative tasks ONLY. They are NOT expected nor allowed to assist with the monitoring or care of Scouts or Cub Scouts except for those within their own families. **
Volunteers must:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Complete the unit's BSA application process.
- Complete the form Resolution and Declaration of Exception in place of the CA-state mandated Volunteer Mandated Reporter Training (aka AB 506, which is required for regular volunteers).
Copies of all application documents & certificates of completion should be submitted to the unit adult leadership. These may be handed in or sent as attachments by e-mail to scout105alpine@gmail.com.
